The company was formed by James Adlington with a view to bringing the art of Glass making back to Bristol after an absence of over 50 years. Trading upon the heritage of the city and developing modern equipment alongside traditional glass making techniques, to create employment in the region during a period that was full of change. The company has developed into its current state purely on the merit of the product which now has a reputation worldwide.
Every piece of glass made in Bristol Blue Glass Ltd is completely made by hand. The techniques are over two thousand years old and every piece is as unique as every human is.
